Miami-Dade County has reached an agreement with Norwegian Cruise Line for a new cruise terminal at Port Miami.

Miami Chamber trustee member Bermello Ajamil & Partners, Inc. was selected to design the new terminal and the project will begin this May.

"We at B&A are so delighted to be working with NCL and PortMiami to bring this great building to Miami. As a local grown company, we take extra pride in this assignment," said Luis Ajamil.

Construction firms and Miami Chamber members NV2A Group and Haskell will also be working together on the cruise terminal. NV2A President & CEO Gilberto Neves commented,

“We have an outstanding group of people working at NV2A. This project will be a true testament to our team members’ strong track record in executing large, complex programs. And it will enable us to continue supporting a vital role in the development and growth of our community. Together with our joint venture partner Haskell, NV2A looks forward to this opportunity to serve Norwegian Cruise Line and build upon our relationship with PortMiami.”

Peter Kinsley, Group President at Haskell, added, "The Joint Venture of NV2A and Haskell is built around our shared passion for excellence in project delivery. It is very fitting that two Florida-based firms with a shared culture of performance would complement the full project team to deliver this world-class cruise terminal for Norwegian Cruise Line, PortMiami and the Miami community.”
