Greater Miami Chamber "throws down the gauntlet" to the Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce in friendly wager to support the Miami Heat & our local community

GREATER MIAMI CHAMBER “THROWS DOWN THE GAUNTLET” TO THE DENVER METRO CHAMBER OF COMMERCE IN FRIENDLY WAGER TO SUPPORT THE MIAMI HEAT & OUR LOCAL COMMUNITY

MIAMI (June 6, 2023) – As the Miami Heat turned up the fire to win Game #2 of the NBA Championship Series and now prepares to face off on the court against the Denver Nuggets for games #3 and #4 this week in Miami, the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce has similarly turned up the heat in its friendly wager against the Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce on the outcome of the series. In addition to regional pride and bragging rights, here’s what’s at stake:

Should the Denver Nuggets win the finals, the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce will reward the Denver Metro Chamber with a basket of stone crabs, key limes, flan and Bacardi rum, as well as a $1,000 donation to Denver’s culinary school.

If the Miami Heat win the finals, the Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce will reward the Greater Miami Chamber with a basket of Colorado beef, Coors beer, Palisade peach jams, Pueblo green chilis and Enstrom’s candy, as well as a $1,000 donation to Miami’s culinary school.

Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce President & CEO Alfred Sanchez says, “I have full confidence in our beloved Miami Heat. The team has shown remarkable resilience and determination throughout the playoffs to get to this point and we are ready to bring home the 2023 NBA Championship to the Magic City. The Heat are a force to be reckoned with. We are proud to have them represent our city and excited for this opportunity to show our support to the Heat and our community with this friendly wager with our sister chamber in Denver. Let’s Go Heat!”

The 2023 NBA Championship (best of seven) Series continues with Game #3 on Wednesday, June 7th in Miami.
