Having an ample supply of affordable housing is important to have a workforce that is stable and productive. As the need for talent increases, having living options close to work for our employees reduces turnover and helps attract professionals from outside the area while encouraging home-grown talent to stay. Additionally, affordable housing leads to increased worker productivity and encourages the immigration of new businesses.

Ensuring that the current labor force has upskilling opportunities and that future generations of workers are educated, well-adapted, and professionally prepared is a key strategy for building a stronger, more competitive, and inclusive economy

2024 Resilient Solutions Summit and May Trustee Luncheon (155)-1Resilience

In Greater Miami, the environment is our business. Tourism, agriculture, trade, and an explosive real estate market have all resulted from our attractive beaches and climate. The Chamber believes that finding resilient solutions to mitigate the environmental threats posed by rising sea levels and severe weather must include the business community. Throughout history, answers to humanities intractable problems and greatest advances have come from the business sector. With over $53.6 billion in just real estate value being exposed, we have every reason to invest in these solutions.
