SAND IN MY SHOES POSTPONED DUE TO HURRICANE MILTON

NEW DATE: OCTOBER 30th

Dear Sand in My Shoes Guests and Supporters:

After careful consideration, and consulting with Dan and Trish Bell, the Chamber’s board officers, presenting sponsors, and key community leadership, we have decided to postpone our Sand in My Shoes Award Dinner, originally set for October 9th. The new date for Sand in My Shoes will be:

Wednesday, October 30^th at Jungle Island Reception beginning 5:30 p.m. Program and dinner promptly at 7:00 p.m.

This decision was made based on the latest information about Hurricane Milton’s potential effects to our area and acknowledging that, while Miami may be out of the direct impact zone, many of our fellow Floridians will be facing great challenges. We hope you understand and will make plans to join us in thanking our friends, Trish and Dan, later in October.

For now, all our prayers and thoughts go out to our northern neighbors who are bracing for a major storm. We also send out our thanks in advance to the numerous agencies and local governments, nonprofits such as the Red Cross, our utility companies like FPL and TECO Peoples Gas, and all the first responders who unceasingly put themselves in harm’s way for our safety.

We appreciate your understanding, support and continued partnership. Please stay safe through the storm.
