Forbes Magazine dubbed Brickell Avenue "Wall Street South" a few years ago, yet this is only a glimpse of our community's vibrant financial sector. Miami-Dade has long been a financial leadre in Latin America, nd it is now rapidly evolving into a global financial hub. Our city is home t onumerous hedge fund, private equity firms, fintech companies and a wide range of multinational, national, community, nd international banks, cementing its place on the global financial stage.

The Financial Services Committee addresses a broad range of regulatory concerns that impact the industry, along with numerous internal and external factors that impact this sector.  These may encompass cyber security, Fin Tech, compliance, community development, insurance, business and corporate needs, talent acquisition, competition, mergers and acquisitions, and other relevant topics.  The committee aims to keep members informed on current banking-related issues and regulatory matters and provides programming that is relevant, interesting and informative to a diverse group of stakeholders in business, finance and the economy.

Participation in the Financial Services Committee is open to all Greater Miami Chamber members in good standing who have interests or concerns related to the banking and finance industries. Committee membership has a high concentration of financial institutions of all types, including banks, investment advisors, funds and related industry professionals.

2024-2025 FINANCIAL SERVICES COMMITTEE GOALS:

  • Collaborate with the Technology & Innovation Committee on a FinTech forum.
  • Host signature Women Leaders Forum and make it a sold-out event.
  • Plan and organize the 2025 South Florida Economic Summit.
  • In partnership with the membership department, recruit and engage 10 new members from the broader financial community.
