GMCC President Honored as 2022 Ultimate CEO

Six Chamber Members Also among This Year’s Award Recipients

Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce President and Chief Executive Officer, Alfred Sanchez, has been recognized as an honoree in the South Florida Business Journal's 2022 Ultimate CEO Awards. The 2022 South Florida Ultimate CEO Awards program honors top executives throughout Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties for their business acumen, leadership skills and community and civic involvement. 

Sanchez has been at the helm of The Chamber since 2016 and has rebranded the 105-year-old institution into a modern organization that reflects the growing business and tech hub Miami has become. Under his leadership, The Chamber has significantly grown its membership base and enhanced its program offerings, including the launch of the Greater Health Trust, an offering that provides discounted health insurance to Chamber members through AvMed health group.

In addition to Alfred Sanchez, out of the 15 honorees, six Chamber members are among this year’s award recipients:  Christine Barney, 2015-2016 Chairwoman, CEO and Managing Partner, RBB Communications; Bernardo Fort-Brescia, Founding Principal, Arquitectonica; Matthew A. Love, President and Chief Executive Officer, Nicklaus Children’s Health System; Thomas P. Murphy Jr., Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Coastal Construction Group; and The Chamber’s 2022-2023 First Vice Chair, Hector J. Ponte, South Florida Region Bank President, Wells Fargo.
