Member Benefits Board Goals
Identify, solicit and evaluate cost-saving affinity programs as a means to enhance the value proposition for Chamber members.
Evaluate existing affinity programs to ensure they provide value to Chamber members while continuing to promote the programs.
Explore the affinity programs offered by other Chambers and business organizations in the market and in select markets across the U.S. for possible adoption to our Chamber.
Survey members to identify affinity programs that would meet their needs and be meaningful toward sustaining Chamber membership.
Affinity / Cost Savings
The Greater Miami Chamber is dedicated to enhancing the value of membership with programs that provide members with discounts and special offers on products and services that allows them to reduce their costs and grow there bottom line.
The Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce with guidance by its Membership Benefits Board, comprised of interested member volunteers, meets regularly to review unique opportunities to enhance membership in the Chamber.
The Chamber is driven to develop affinity programs that members want – not just the latest deal by a vendor wanting to reach our membership. To determine which projects are of value to members, the Chamber conducts research through surveys and focus groups with a sample of the membership. Based upon research performed earlier, the Board will examine health coverage for employees of member companies and it is exploring a wellness program to support healthy lifestyles and the reduced pressure on businesses.
Research is currently in the field for the 2008/2009 Chamber year. When the research is complete, the Membership Benefits Board will make recommendations for the addition of new affinity programs.
