Leadership Miami Goals

Foster stronger connection between the Chamber and program participants essentially creating a leadership/membership pipeline to ensure:

• Mentoring and active participation in program events from Chamber leadership
• Continued involvement in Chamber program of work post graduation (i.e., engage LM graduates in other Chamber committees)

Build on communications and social media to incorporate alumni in current Leadership Miami events and plan events to re-engage alumni.

Partner with local universities and community organizations to begin a dialogue that will leverage the benefits of being a Leadership Miami graduate (i.e., nonprofit board participation, credits toward continuing education, etc.).

Market the program to professional associations outside of the Chamber membership base.

Build partnerships with community organizations to link to other leadership development programs available in Miami-Dade County to strengthen community leadership and create more holistic continuum of leadership development and service in our community.

Program Details

Leadership Miami is an annual program sponsored by the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce and several of Miami-Dade County's premier companies, local agencies and corporations. The program is targeted towards men and women interested in making Miami a better place to live.

Leadership Miami offers its members the opportunity to meet Miami's leaders and to share an intensive learning experience that focuses on community issues and leadership skills. The purpose of Leadership Miami is to prepare the next generation of Miamians to meet future challenges. The program provides members with lectures, seminars and small group discussions and leadership skills exercises to address vital issues affecting Miami-Dade County. This dynamic format stimulates vigorous and animated discussions by all participants.
