“In today’s economy, it’s particularly gratifying to recognize some of South Florida’s top performing companies of all sizes,” said South Florida Good to Great Awards Chair Holly Svekis. “This program puts a spotlight on these success stories and inspires the next generation of business leaders.”
While the context of the award is based on the Jim Collins book, the award criteria have been localized to reflect the realities of the marketplace. Four area universities, business schools at Barry University, Florida International University, Johnson & Wales University and Nova Southeastern University determined the judging criteria and shepherded the award process. Judging was based on the
applicant’s ability to demonstrate a pattern of solid to great performance over a four-year period. Companies were also to demonstrate leadership within management ranks and have a solid workforce base.
The 2010 award recipients will be announced and finalists recognized at an awards luncheon during the Greater Miami Chamber’s annual Goals Conference at the Hilton Miami Downtown on Friday, June 4 at 11:30 a.m. For additional information about the awards luncheon or online registration visit www.MiamiChamber.com.
