Chamber Hobnob Reception

GREATER MIAMI CHAMBER OF COMMERCE HOSTS ELECTED OFFICIALS AND CANDIDATES AT A HOBNOB RECEPTION

 

 

Miami, FL, April 7, 2010 -- The Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce’s Advocacy Group will host a hobnob reception for elected officials and candidates on April 8.  Business and community leaders will have the opportunity to meet with elected officials and candidates, speak with them personally and learn about their positions. 

 

Confirmed elected officials include Town of Cutler Bay Mayor Paul Vrooman and Miami-Dade County School Board Member, District 8, Marta Perez.  Confirmed incumbents/candidates include:  United States Senate: Kevin Burns; United States Congress, District 17: North Miami Councilman Scott Galvin, Marleine Bastien, and Rudolph Moise; United States Congress, District 25: Marili Cancio; Florida House of Representatives, District 112: Doral Councilwoman Sandra Ruiz and Jeanette Nunez; Florida House of Representatives, District 114: School Board member Ana Rivas Logan and Millie Herrera; Florida House of Representatives, District 115: Kendall Community Councilwoman Carla Ascencio-Savola,  Jose Felix Diaz, and Jeff Solomon; Florida House of Representatives, District 116: Carlos Manrique and Carlos Trujillo;  Florida House of Representatives, District 117: Michael Bileca, Jose Pazos, Marcus Rivchin Jr., Juan Carlos Robaina, and Ralph Rosado; Florida House of Representatives, District 119: Katie Edwards; Miami-Dade County Commission, District 8: Palmetto Bay Mayor Gene Flinn, Jason Culler, Obdulio Piedra, and Annette Taddeo; Miami-Dade County School Board,  District 6: Maria Peiro; 11th Judicial Circuit: Judge Flora Seff; and County Court Judge: Judge Flora Seff (seeking to be retained) and Michaelle Gonzalez-Paulson.             

 

Registration begins at 5:30p.m. and the reception will begin at 6:00p.m. at the Chamber offices, 1601 Biscayne Boulevard, ballroom level (located inside Hilton Miami Downtown).  Light hors d'oeuvres and drinks will be served.  Pricing for this event is as follows: Chamber members $25; nonmembers $35; and staff members of elected officials and/or candidates $25.  The Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce does not endorse any candidates.
