The NFL is coming to town with the Pro Bowl and Super Bowl XLIV.  Celebrate Football “ Miami ” style … with a Latin flair.

Miami , Florida - Switchboard of Miami, Inc. will host an annual fundraising event on Thursday, February 4, 2010 at Jungle Island in Miami , Florida .  Doors open at 8:00 AM.  Grammy Award winner Willy Chirino will perform a live concert.  DJ Nino will keep the crowd moving.  SUPER FIESTA ON THE ISLAND is expected to draw thousands of Miami ’s hottest, affluent and charitable community leaders, professional athletes and party-goers.  Attendees should be prepared to run into favorite celebrities who are in town for Super Bowl XLIV and will take this opportunity to support both Switchboard and those affected by the earthquake in Haiti .

With a musical catalog of more than 100 songs and 28 record albums, Willy Chirino is without doubt is an emblematic tropical music acts of all time.  Considered a founder of "Miami Sound" and master of “ Miami salsa,”   Mr. Chirino’s many hits have immediately reached gold and/or platinum status.  More than 60 artists have recorded his songs.  DJ Nino has been deejaying for over 8 years and tours annually in Cancun, Philadelphia, Boston, Washington D.C., Orlando and, of course, Miami.  He has shared the stage with various artists, such as; Daddy Yankee, Wisin & Yandel, Tego Calderon, Calle 13, Shakira, Los Pericos, Rabanes, Bad Boy Bill, Ferry Corsten, Darren Emerson, DJ Craze, Above & Beyond among others.

Super Fiesta on the Island, the party with a purpose, will offer guests an opportunity to win 2 Super Bowl XLIV tickets.  They will enjoy mouth-watering paella cooked by top chefs, an open bar and an incomparable silent auction.   The auction will feature art, luxury items and one-of-a-kind sports memorabilia.  Tickets are available in advance or at the door.  The title sponsor for this event is Timothy Haahs & Associates.  All proceeds of this event will benefit Switchboard of Miami, Inc. and the Haitian Relief Effort.

Established in 1968, Switchboard of Miami, Inc. is a local nonprofit organization that provides crisis counseling, suicide intervention and information and referral services 24 hours-a-day, 7 days-a-week.  In addition, individual and family counseling services and prevention programs are provided in partnership with public schools and other organizations.  Last year, Switchboard answered over 180,000 calls and served over 700 seniors, 5,000 youth and 1,500 families.
